Albany College was established in 1974 and is now North West London's largest tutorial college sending over 100 students to universities each year and teaching both GCSE and A level in over 20 subjects.
Albany College was re-inspected by BAC in February and their report was published on 21 March. We undergo a full scale inspection every five years and inspection summary is as follows:
' The Albany College was first accredited by BAC in November 1987. It was most recently re-inspected in February 1997.
The Inspectors consider that there was an excellent standard of provision in teaching and learning and in the pastoral support for students. They noted that the College's management stressed the importance of a friendly and caring atmosphere, and considered that the close involvement of all staff members in the progress and well-being of their students fully justified this description. Teaching was of a uniformly high standard, showing excellent command of the subject matter and great skill in encouraging active student participation. Overall, the Inspectors considered that the College served its students well, and that the very high standards of achievement reflected great credit on both the management and the whole staff.
The College received re-accreditation in March 1997'.
